Market Vice President for Cox Media Group’s assets in Ohio including Digital, Newspaper, Radio and Television brands, Rob Rohr started with Cox in 1993 after graduating from Miami University, Oxford in the advertising and sales department. Over the last twenty-two years in the business Rob has spent much of his time dedicated to serving our advertising clients with strong marketing and advertising solutions using all of our media platforms.
In 2000, Rob gained valuable experience in digital as the National Director of Digital Advertising for Cox Target Media in Largo, Florida launching new digital direct marketing brands and finding new solutions for Madison Avenue agencies to connect to new audiences. Rob brought that national digital experience back to Ohio serving in lead roles for our newspaper sales and marketing departments. When CMG Ohio merged in 2010, Rob became the Senior Vice President of Sales for Cox Media Group Ohio. In 2012, Rob was named General Manager for Cox Media Group Ohio where he added responsibilities for our content and operations teams and added to his business experience.
In 2016, Rob was named to his current role as Market Vice President. Rob is very active in the community, serving on the Dayton Chamber of Commerce Executive Board, the Dayton Development Coalition board and serves as an advisor to several community non-profit groups. Rob is also a founding member of TEDxDayton and Dayton.com. Rob’s true passion is transforming the media business, building stronger communities, coaching people to reach their potential, amateur photography and passing himself off as a foodie.
